L6 - Unit 1 Containment Update.

There are 3 weeks available to complete the containment project. The last of these weeks needs to be dedicated to selecting the best of your work within the project and presenting it in the format required by the brief, as detailed below:

• Evidence of visual recording and research shown on no more than three A2 sheets (Activity 1) 
• Evidence of the fully developed piece of art or design shown on one A2 sheet (Activity 2) 
• A written commentary (Activity 3) 
• A completed authentication sheet.

This format of presentation will also be followed by the externally examined Unit 1 brief that follows. 
Effectively you have the next 2 weeks to complete your visual work, this needs to include:

• Good gathering of relevant primary and secondary imagery and evidence of idea generation (through mind mapping and annotation).
• Plenty of good drawing with a variety of media and at different scales (remember this is a visual recording unit, so drawing is important). General drawing and drawing specific to your intentions are both important (i.e. Fashion Illustrations, Design Development sketches).
• Analytical illustrated research into a range of Artists/Designers relevant to your project and the theme.
• Annotated visual development of your ideas - design sketches, notes, ideas, inspirations, a good range of media experimentation, photographs of mock-ups/practice pieces.
• A well resolved project outcome, this needs to be well recorded visually through photography.

We will complete the formal written commentary alongside the selection and presentation of your project in the week beginning Monday 11th March.
Project deadline will be Saturday 15th March.
